Public communication of science and technology is central to ideas about responsible research and innovation RRI. Scientists thus emphasised their own responsibility for ensuring a successful science communication process. In closing we reflect on what these findings mean for the promotion and practice of RRI, suggesting that a greater focus should be placed on the character of responsibility as well as its presence. She holds a MA in Cognition and Communication from the University of Copenhagen, and her research interests lie in science communication and public engagement with science, specifically in relation to climate change and environmental issues.
